Mayer’s Pond

This painting was done on watercolor paper. The inspiration is my remembrances of an early morning fishing trip while growing up in Kentucky. As a kid, and even now as an adult, I marvel at how there seems to always be a mist that forms on the top of the best fishing lakes early in the morning. I realize that may not always be true but it makes my heart feel good to remember it that way.
